1. What’s one thing you’ve received in life that changed your identity or status overnight? A job title? A marriage? A name change? Becoming a parent or step-parent? And how did that change affect you?

2. Which of the following lies is He inviting you to stop believing? What might it cost you if you continue living out of that lie?

• Lie 1 - Doubts belonging - Truth: I am God's beloved child. (1 John 3:1)
• Lie 2 - Test boundaries - Truth: I can trust my Father's heart and wisdom, he only gives good gifts. (Matthew 7:9-11)
• Lie 3 - Correction as rejection - Truth: My Father's correction is proof of His love. (Hebrews 12:6)
• Lie 4 - Control out of fear - Truth: I am free to live as God's secure, adopted child. (Romans 8:15)
