Performance

3/21/2021

Dave Kountz

We often tie performance to value and worth. If a car can go from 0 to 60 in a few seconds, it’s worth a lot more money than an old rust-bucket that can’t go more than 40 mph. People who perform well are often rewarded—like a professional athlete who gets a lucrative contract after a great season, or an actor who gets paid more for the next movie after starring in a blockbuster. What if we look at that system through the lens of the spiritual realm? How does our performance affect our relationship with God? What do we find when we turn our eyes toward Jesus to see how His upside-down Kingdom views our performance?
