Jesus never called His disciples to become a “church.” Instead, He called them to become an Ekklesia; a called-out people united by a common identity and purpose. Jesus’ call was to a movement--not a meeting. It was more than a program or service, but a group united by Christ and making a measurable difference in their communities.
