Angel Tree

· Christmas Initiative

For kids with parents serving time, every day can feel like a life sentence. They didn’t commit a crime, but they’re paying the consequences. Kids with a parent in prison are more likely to face poverty and struggle with mental health issues. More likely to be homeless. And more likely to face incarceration themselves one day. Children, whose days should be carefree, full of games, laughter, and anticipation, often struggle under an inheritance of isolation and fear.

This year we are excited to partner with Angel Tree to serve families in our area. Incarcerated individuals apply for assistance through Angel Tree, a program of Prison Fellowship Ministries, and identify the caregivers who are caring for them now, they are then able to request gifts for their children through Angel Tree.

In addition, our Angel Tree this year will include some foster children being cared for in our community. We want to come alongside the families that are loving kids by helping to cover some Christmas gifts. The tree is out in the atrium and available through December 21.

Will you Be Rich with your resources this Christmas?
