Barna Group, a research and resource company located in Ventura, California, released a striking statistic on social and demographic trends.
'Teenagers in Gen Z are at least twice as likely as American adults to identify as LGBTQ. These students, born between 1999-2015 believe that identity comes from belief, sexual orientation, or what they do, rather than their Creator.' Barna Group
Knowing this statistic assigns us responsibility to equip this generation with what God has to say about sexual orientation. Our first Real Talk event is called, 'Truth and Relationships in a Sexually Confused Culture'. We will hear from worldview experts John Stonestreet, Dr. Christopher Yuan, and Caleb Kaltenbach, who will equip us with information and practical strategies for helping students navigate a sexually broken culture.
Real Talk is a quarterly event hosted by BR Youth for middle school, high school students, and their parents - though all are invited. Together we will be covering topics that are timely to what our students are facing right now, and helping students and parents navigate those topics.
