Irene Lange

2 minute read

Irene Lange, a nurse who has been a missionary since the early 1990s, has faithfully served in direct evangelism, rural development, and health care in some of the most difficult areas of the world including Haiti, the Sudan, and Kenya. Despite living around the globe, she still calls Blue Ridge her “home church.”

Her commitment to missions took shape after she and her late husband Rick Lange attended a Southern Baptist Conference missions conference and was strengthened by participating in a mission trip to Haiti as college students.

In November 2010, Irene’s husband and ministry partner Rick Lange passed away after a long battle with Mesothelioma.

Irene is now part of a ministry in Cannock, England, which cares for church workers and missionaries. Working through One Another Ministries International, which cares “for those who care for the world,” she ministers to church workers and missionaries.

Irene asks for our prayers as she continues her journey in England and continues to follow God’s leading without her husband. She also asks for prayers for finances — both for preparing the ministry center and for her personal support.
