Coming out of the recent mission message series, we have many praises for what God has done.

First, we had the opportunity to help build a church in Nepal in an area with little exposure to the Gospel. Senior Pastor Woody Torrence shared that we needed about $20,000 to make this church a reality.

On the following Monday, the funds from the weekend were counted: $20,026 was given!

Then, following the “Veil of Tears” movie, Dr. K.P. Yohannan, Gospel for Asia founder, spoke at all three Sunday services. He shared how GFA provides food and education to children who would otherwise grow up illiterate, uneducated and taught that they are worthless. Through Bridge of Hope, the children and their families are finding faith in Christ and learning that they are dearly loved.

Following Dr. Yohannan’s talk, Blue Ridge attendees pledged to support 243 children through Bridge of Hope. Additionally, 55 women missionaries were sponsored.

As we move forward, what from the Missions series impacted you? What is God stirring in your heart? What is your next step?

Please send your responses, thoughts and stories to missions@blue-ridge.org.

In the coming weeks, you will hear about some of the missions trips we are taking in 2015, as well as opportunities to join us to pray for things going on in our world. We hope you will join us!
